The Adtran NetVanta 3448 is a high speed corporate router designed for converged voice and data networks. The Adtran 3448 supports up 2 WAN Outputs through its network interface module (NIM) slot. A pair of 10/100 Ethernet ports are also included for LAN segmentation, DMS applications, or for broadband backup.

Advanced features such as a stateful inspection firewall, Network Address Translation (NAT) , and Quality of Service (QoS) are included by default in the Adtran NetVanta 3448. The 1200821E1 includes additional standards based features such as 802.1Q VLAN trunking, policy-based routing, DHCP client, URL filterin, Frame Relay, and the router can even act as a wireless access controller. In addition, the NetVanta 3448 also supports IPv6 policies.

The Adtran NetVanta 3448 is a NetVanta 3430 router with a fully managed 8 port switch included. The 10/100 Ethernet switch is non-blocking.
